Esca Chefs: Yacht chef training built for the realities onboard.

Professional yacht chef training & preparation

Working as a yacht chef is one of the most demanding roles in the industry. It requires more than skill in the kitchen — it demands organisation, discipline, discretion, and the ability to perform under pressure without a safety net.

ESCA exists to prepare chefs properly. Through structured training and honest assessment, we help chefs become operationally ready for life onboard, and help clients find chefs who can step into a galley with confidence and consistency.

A luxury yacht named 'Explorer Valletta' docked at sea with several jet skis and small boats nearby, light-colored umbrellas on the upper deck, and a flag flying at the stern.

Enrolment in our Academy is now open

Yachting doesn't need more chefs onboard. It needs chefs who are ready. ESCA — the Elite Superyacht Culinary Academy — is now live, offering face-to-face, classroom-based training that tests and evaluates you throughout the course.

Every candidate leaves with an individual skills profile, built to support recruitment and matched to the captains, vessels and roles that suit them.

Founded by chefs with over 20 years' combined experience across Michelin kitchens, UHNW households and the superyacht industry, ESCA covers everything from provisioning and menu planning to maritime law, certification, and what a real day in the galley looks like —before you ever step onboard.

Yacht chef placement & recruitment support

Whether you’re a chef preparing for your first yacht role or a captain looking for someone dependable, ESCA helps take the uncertainty out of the process. We train and support chefs for the real day-to-day of yacht operations, so placements are based on proven ability, not assumptions.
